MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING held on Wednesday, February 3, 2011, in the Municipal Meeting Room, 31 Mountain Avenue, Hillburn, NY, commencing at 12:00noon.

PRESENT: Bernard L. Jackson, Mayor , Craig M. Flanagan, Jr., Trustee , Thomas R. Scott, Trustee , Robert Yodowitz, Village Attorney,

RECORDER OF MINUTES: Gladys DeFreese, Village Clerk-Treasurer

Special meeting was called to order by Mayor Bernard Jackson.

Agenda Item: Appointment of Inspectors of Election:

The following RESOLUTION was adopted by the Hillburn Village Board:

WHEREAS, the Village Election is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 and

WHEREAS, the NYS Board of Elections has implemented new voting machines, DS200 Optical Scanning Device, that requires certification of all Election Inspectors, and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village Board of Trustees to utilize the DS200 Optical Scanning Device for the 2011 Village Election at the estimate cost of $975.00, and

WHEREAS, in the past the Village of Hillburn has appointed four (4) Election Inspectors; however, there are only three (3) Village residents who are certified to operate the DS200 Optical Scanning Device,

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees hereby appoints the following Inspectors of Election, to serve at the 2011 Village Election on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, from 11:00AM to 10:00PM, and to be compensated at a rate of $7.15 per hour, per inspector:

RESOLUTION was unanimously adopted.
